about
Our
Story
Lean On Me Foundation is a community organization that started off as a support group for girls and young women living with HIV with a focus to support access to rights-based health services for adolescent girls and children in Kenya. Lean On Me has been at the fore front of leading efforts towards building a strong young women's movement against HIV and TB through mobilization, advocacy and mentorship and raising consciousness on the issues that inform access and accelerate the end of diseases as epidemics.
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to raise awareness to human rights and gender-related barriers to health care for girls and children, in addition to making a contribution towards the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on access to healthcare through collaborating with like minded organizations. Our objective is to ensure that children, teenage girls, and young women living with HIV or TB have access to quality healthcare, and advocate for the rights of young HIV-positive adolescents and young girls, ensuring they have equal opportunities to thrive and reach their full potential to not only health, but also education and human rights.
OUR VISION
We aspire to promote an inclusive society that accepts and empowers young adolescent girls and children, promoting their rights, dignity and well being through Education, compassionate care and community involvement.
